How is YOUR Agency Helping Your Community Cope with Rising Costs?

Over the eight years I’ve been working with estate agents, I’ve witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly.

And I’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the elite in the business.

The one thing the very best have in common is this – they ALL support the communities they serve.

And I’m not just talking about local sports team sponsorships here (a good start, in fairness).

These top-tier agents (usually market leaders as well) hold events like litter picks, Santa’s Grottos, Easter egg hunts, Halloween bashes and summer fetes.

They open their doors to become drop-off points for winter clothing for the homeless, Christmas toy appeals and foodbank donations.

They. Do. Their. Bit.

And it was these types of agents I had in mind when we created our Coping with the Cost of Living Guide.

It’s an eight-page guide, written by our team of proper journalists at Estate Agent Content. It’s been designed in Canva so that it’s a piece of cake to rebrand and share.

It covers tips, techniques and ideas on making your money go further and where people can access support and advice.

We are giving it away for FREE to non-competing agents (if you don’t have area exclusivity, you don’t have sh!7), with the ‘strong suggestion’ they donate directly to a local foodbank or community support group in their area.

Since the guide’s launch on Friday 28 October, more than £7,000 has been raised for people who need it most.

But how do you use the guide to help your community and at the same time raise the profile of your agency without looking like an opportunistic tool (why did politicians spring to mind when I wrote that last bit?).

Here’s how.

  • Share it in your local Facebook neighbourhood groups.
  • Post it across your channels. Some agents are donating £1 for every share they get (put a cap on this though would be my advice).
  • Make it available as a free (no data capturing) download on your website.
  • Let your local media know you have it available.
  • Print off 100 and distribute them at locations people may need them.

The best content is helpful, interesting and selfless – I believe this guide is a perfect example of that approach.

If you would be willing to donate £100 (or more, some agents have dug deeper) to access the guide, email me with the postcodes you serve to see if they are still available.

Thanks for reading, now go make a difference.
